Mexico Day 6!

I'm back for more!

Today was thursday in mexico, it was grand! (: First, we woke up to go meet the Oasis boys at the school to play soccer! I didn't play soccer though, I just took pictures with Benita. Hahahaha. Okay, So remember how Benita had two cameras and I used one of them? Well on this day, we were sitting behind the bleachers and it broke, "Lens error!" I was so upset, so I asked a bunch of smart people if it was for real broken, and they said yes, cool. This was a nightmare, not having my camera in MEXICO! Are you kidding me? But guess what? I had a lot more fun without just taking pictures all the time! :)

Then we came back to the orphanage after soccer for a little tiny bit. I was outside with Dulce basically the whole time. Before we knew it, it was time to head to Oasis for lunch! This was so fun! We had hot dogs, chips, and MANGO KOOLAID <3 We hung out there for a little, then the first group left for the Blind Center. After they left it was time for our group to go to one of my favorite things in the world, the City Orphanage!

The City Orphanage is a crazy crazy place, you can't but cry when you leave there. You pull up to this really nice building, but you look and there's barbed wire on the top of the fence, crazy. It's also this super legit place, it's ran by the government, and you have only 45 minutes there and not one minute more. Also, I'm sorry but you aren't allowed to have cameras in the City Orphanage, which stinks.

While we were waiting to go in, Ken told us that 4 kids at bethel, Jazmin, Enrique, Sarita, and Kriztina used to be here. Then all of a sudden, I remembered little Jazmin last year standing there so upset as we all left, probably thinking she'd never see us again. God does miracles :)

So we go in and sit down, and I was sitting with this little boy, he was so cute! I had a bag of lollipops with me, so as soon as Juana and Ken were done teaching the lesson, I got seriously attacked. Ask anyone who was there in that moment kids were completely surrounding me. By the time there was one little girl left, the bag was empty. I sadly looked at her and said, "No mas, lo ciento!" ): She walked away with a frown. I sat down and colored with a few kids, which was really fun! Then I got up and I walked over to the little girl who didn't get a lollipop, she sat on my lap and we colored, and played with stickers. I loved her so much and she was so beautiful. We stood up at the en d to sing Yo Tengo Un Amigo with the kids and she put her arms out, so I held her the whole time.

When it was time to leave I walked over to the couch to put her down. I put my arms out and said, "Adios Amiga!" She hugged me back, and when I went to pull away, she grabbed my face with her little brown hands and kissed me on the cheek. I will NEVER forget that. I was completely heart broken in that moment. You could tell how grateful she was for the half an hour I was with her, love her so much. <3

We went back to the orphanage and played with the kiddos until it was time for church! Church was so great! I love church in Mexico SO much. If you could see the way these people worshipped, you would understand why. After church, I went out and there was Dulce, waiting for me, I love her so so much. I sat with her and we talked, then we heard Vida blasting from the church! We danced together until she had to go to bed. We hugged goodnight and I kissed her on the forehead, telling her how much I loved her.

Later, we went up to our team meeting that night. We talked for a good while, and then we took prayer requests. I told our group how terrified I was to say goodbye. As we prayed, I bawled harder and harder. When we were done I asked Gianna if we could take one our famous walks through Bethel. So we did, we sat down on a bench, and we cried so hard we couldn't breath. We talked about how much we loved it here, and how we just couldn't leave. Then we layed on the cement, looked up at the beautiful San Luis moon and night time sky, and we cried and held hands until we ran out of tears. I love her so much, and I miss this trip more than anything. <3
