Okay I'm probably going to cry while writing this, I miss it so much <3

July 11, 2011 <3

Today was monday, painting day number uno, yay! Painting usually fun, but when you're inside non-air conditioned rooms that are hotter than the sun beating down on you in the middle of Mexico, and using mexican oil based paint, you pretty much experience death. My team painted are first room and that was okay, I was fine then. But they told us we were going to have to keep going and I felt like complete death. So I took a break and sat on a bench with Veronica, Keely, Stevie, and someone else I don't really remember, sorry! We sat in the shade, chugged water, and were all basically in tears. We were lightheaded and blacking out. Keely and I were both crying, so we went and sat in the van which was not one bit cooler but it was like, the best thing that ever happened to me!

Eventually, my dreams came true of that day and we headed back to Bethel. I basically ran back to our room and laid in bed because I was beyond exhausted. I was kind of upset in those moments, I kept going back outside and Dulce was never out, so I stayed inside, which I regret more than anything. I kept looking out the window but she was never out. The devil was really getting to me with all the silliest things on this day, this being one of them. Eventually, I was talking to Veronica and someone ran into the room and said, "Dulce wants you!" That is my favorite thing in the whole entire world, I flew off the bed and ran outside. There she was waiting for me with her arms open ready for a hug, I love her so so so much <3

I stayed with her and Eliza for a while, we had a lot of fun. Then Dulce and I just walked, talked, and did things around the orphanage. We always have the best time together <3 Then it was time to leave to go to shut ins with my group. Rachael and I were in the same group again, just like last year! We kept saying we wanted to see one lady named Claudia, we love her so much! But we both kept thinking the chances of that happening, haha, was there even a chance? We got in our van and we pulled up to a house that Rach and I recognized right away. It was the first lady we saw last year, she is so sweet. She takes care of her grandson who has severe cerabel palsyes (worst spelling ever.) We pulled up to more houses that we kept recognizing. We saw Alfonzo, Carmen, and then, we pulled up to a house and Ken said, "This is the house of a lady named Claudia.." That's all he had to say to me, I screamed at the top of my lungs and smiled from ear to ear! We got to talk to her and pray for her. <3 It was amazing. After that, we saw one more shut in and headed back to Bethel. We ate dinner and then it was time for village ministry.

Village ministry was at, okay, here goes a story. Lauren told our van we were in Baja, California, and of course Rach and I believed her. Then after one of the vans got stuck, I rode back over to the ministry area with them and asked them if we were really in California, they looked at me like I was the dumbest person they had ever seen in their lives. But anyways, at village ministry we sing Yo Tengo Un Amigo Que Me Ama, the song that every person in San luis knows by heart, then people do testimonies, we do our dance, Ken talks, then we pass out rice and beans, and candy to the little kids. This year, we stayed and talked to the people and played with the kids, amazing time, amzing day <3
